Wow, this is unusual. There's no record of him at all on Watchtower Online Library or jw dot org, aside from the old list of GB helpers. No mention, let alone a picture.Interesting that he hasn't been very prominent up until now.

Fake News By Jehovah’s Witnesses 🐑
by minimus inmuch has been said about “fake news”.
regarding the witnesses, they would always ask, “ did you hear the latest”?.
since the witnesses claim to have the “truth”, can you express anything that turned out to be truly “fake news”?

Sadly it seems that JWs are extra predisposed to swallow fake news, and on Facebook I've lost count of the 'satire' links and inaccurate memes shared by them as truth without doing any research.

Sister may have had a slight heart attack, do I text her?
by Xanthippe inso my cousin phoned and told me my jw sister was taken to hospital with chest pains and it may have been a slight heart attack or possibly she's starting with angina.
now as some of you know my sisters and brother have had little to do with me for 29 years.
we've met at funerals, or arranged them, but i just thought today what if she did die?

Just always try to do the right thing. Don't get sidetracked, make a dig or bring religion into it. Just demonstrate how a normal person would act. That will be good for whoever reads it as they don't see it that often with the folks they spend time with. Kill em with kindness.

Thank you, George Couch!
by charonsdog ini just thought i'd share this story from my past.. back in the 80s i remember the big problem seemed to be about music.
(today, it's tight pants, i guess) the organization, society, whatever they were calling themselves, were always going on about the music we listened to.
disco, heavy metal, the whole "backwards masking" thing...couldn't escape hearing or reading about how satan was corrupting us unless we were listening to kingdom melodies or elevator music.. i was assigned to wtf in the late 80s and remember one of the articles stating that "young people know that the rhythm of rock music is the rhythm of sexual intercourse.

Except now JW Broadcasting has Christian rock. The original song "Let's Keep the Pace" could be interpreted as having a sexual rhythm . . . But then again so can anything if your mind's in the gutter.

It’s My Anniversary!
by jp1692 intoday is the four year anniversary of the last time i set foot in a kingdom hall.
it was the day of the kool-aid issue of the wt!
“at that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.

Governing Body pre-'70s: All Shareholders?
by neat blue dog ini used to think that before the governing body was introduced in the 1970's as we know it today, that they used that term for the 7-member board of directors.
but the article written by milton henschel in the '50s that was just posted showed another angle.
apparently all shareholders were the "governing body" and the board was their representative, just like later they would say that all anointed ones were the faithful slave and the gb was their representative.. the governing body at present has 402 members, who reside in 29 countries and elect seven ministers as a board of directors.

Interesting, just as I thought. So I guess Henschel was wrong using the term that way in his article.

Murder in the Cathedral (Chess at Barnes & Noble)
by TerryWalstrom ini sat with my board and pieces like a new orleans hooker in a window with a red light, displaying my wanton intentions--eager for action.. last evening in barnes & noble.tuesdays the chess club meets there.. i arrived with my infamous black bag of pawns and rooks and other deadly concealed weapons of regicide--an old warrior in a strange land.. presently, a mother and her son stepped forward.
he was about 12.____mother: “oh, sir--my son has become obsessed with the game of chess and i thought if hecould play some real games with experienced players he might enjoy that.
would it be okay if kevin played a game with you?”.
